Olds (population 7500) is a College town, major 
service center and regional market in South Central Alberta. It is located 1 hour by car from Calgary, Red Deer and the Eastern Rockies. Olds was established as a pioneer railway town in the late 1800's along the border of Alberta's prairies and boreal parklands.
Olds of today is made up of a thriving historical Uptowne district, a college district, diverse commercial areas, cutting-edge technology and education centers, a new sports and wellness center and residential areas with man-made lakes and well treed walking paths. The town is surrounded by farms and ranches, including farm-gate operations, adventure venues, fishing ponds and specialty farms.
